The Utah Poison Control Center in joint effort with the Utah Department of Health is operating the Coronavirus Information Line. This Info Line has multiple,
paid, remote work positions. This position involves answering calls from patients, assessing for COVID-19 signs and symptoms, triaging, and educating
about COVID-19. Staff are supported by medical guidelines and medical director. After in person training sessions, these shifts can be worked remotely
provided the person has access to a computer and sufficient Internet speed located in a confidential workspace.
- Educating callers on COVID-19 (symptoms, prevention, incubation period, disinfecting, controversial therapies, interactions with disease
- Assessing patients for signs & symptoms of COVID-19 and triaging them to appropriate care
- Providing risk assessments for asymptomatic individuals exposed COVID-19

Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business, Communication, Nursing or related field, or equivalency required (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are also required. Experience in oncology, multidisciplinary clinics, and/or working with high-acuity, complex patients may be preferred.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
