The Position:
Makpar has an exciting opportunity for an Agile Coach. The candidate will educate team members as well as the government client on Agile principles and provide them with the tools for implementing the Agile process in their work. The Agile coach will lead training sessions, guide teams through the Agile methodology, provide feedback and means of improvement, and catalyze organizational growth. Remote work permitted.

Role Specific Duties:
The Agile Coach must use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.
Collaborate with cross-functional, self-organized engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, owning and improving our way of working.
Remove impediments, visualize information, proactively seek continuous improvements and challenge both the team.
Support and lead agile transformation deliveries to our clients.
Deliver agile coaching and training to project teams and client teams.
Quickly establish collaborative partnerships and credibility with key stakeholders and team members to help them in their journey of adopting Agile methodology.
Provide coaching and training at the program and team levels in an emerging Agile environment
Assess the current organization and delivery environment and recommend optimal Agile practices tailored to the client. Implement a strategy for organizational adoption of Agile.
Perform in various agile roles, including Scrum Master, where needed.
Influence at all levels of an organization and help implement recommended changes
Prepare and deliver effective communications both verbally and orally regarding progress and status for both internal and client teams
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in computer science or similar technical subjects (master’s degree preferred)
Scrum Coach or Master certification (PSMI, CSM), second or third level preferred)
10+ years commercial or Federal experience in IT or equivalent field.
Experience with Agile transformations at federal agencies.
Experience with different Agile frameworks (ex. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, lean, XP, Nexus, LeSS, Crystal, FDD).
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team (Java, JSP, J2EE, COTS, Security frameworks, Oracle, RHEL, VMWare, etc.)
Ability to work with both established and newly formed teams, challenging and supporting them to continuously improve.
Good skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Familiarity with IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM).
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Ability to think creatively and provide value delivered.
