Ziegler CAT has an opening for an Inventory Control Manager in the Parts Department. This position provides daily leadership and strategic direction for material sourcing, vendor management, and parts inventory control activities at all Ziegler locations. This position is responsible for providing adequate material availability, balanced with investment levels, conducive to profitable operations as well as ensuring consistent and accurate inventories.
Monitor parts stocking levels and assure that replenishment orders are placed in a timely manner
Direct subordinates on resolving complex issues from customer facing sales teams
Resolve vendor product, quality or pricing disputes for all OEM, After-market, and MRO material purchased into Ziegler’s Parts network
Coordinate periodic surplus returns of excess material to vendors, and review obsolete parts for final disposition
Provide analysis of inventory control processes, including back orders
Review revenue trends of various product types and adjust inventory investments accordingly
Provide ad-hoc, daily, and monthly reporting on various inventory levels, transactions and performance by location
Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors
4 yr Bachelor’s Degree required with emphasis in supply chain, materials management, operations management, inventory control, or similar field.
4+ years’ experience in materials management, operations, or inventory control required
APICS CPIM or relevant professional planning association certification preferred
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, remote peers and remote subordinates

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate to expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Other business intelligence experience preferred (ie. Tableau, Power BI, SAS, or SQL)
