The Marketing Assistant supports in the management and fostering of supplier relationships within given product categories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a liaison to other corporate departments on behalf of assigned suppliers.
Responsible for the accurate preparation of materials needed to negotiate and secure supplier funding and/or discounting in line with pre-determined goals.
Through collaboration with other stakeholders, identify categories under review for potential supplier changes and/or consolidation.
Assist in the publishing, analysis and awarding of RFPs.
Contribute to pricing strategy discussions.
Extremely well-versed in sales performance of items, suppliers and assigned categories.
