Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for a VP, Marketing and Member Experience with a financial services company.
The VP, Marketing and Member Experience role is responsible for leading the companies in providing a best in class member experience. This role will leverage member insights to drive unified Marketing Communication strategies and transform experiences across all delivery channels and product lines. This role will partner across the organization to maximize member acquisition, retention and relationship depth. This leader works with all levels of the organization to embed behaviors and actions that deliver an omnichannel experience. The company is looking for someone with fresh creative ideas and thinking to help the brand communicate to a younger audience.
The primary focus of this role is to communicate member services and products through all available marketing channels. Evaluate, identify, initiate and lead member experience initiatives that deliver continuous improvement and innovation to impact value across the organization measurably. This person reports to the SVP of Marketing and will have 4 direct reports.
Define the message and objective for all marketing communications including the benefits and features of all financial products and services - take the brand to the next level and appeal to a younger audience.
Establish a best-in-class social, digital and web presence that drives consumer awareness, engagement, affinity, and purchase.
Empower and motivate consumers to grow the brand and to achieve short and longer term marketing goals with maintaining the stability of email and social media reputation.
Direct the Community Development efforts to provide valuable resources and community engagement.
Develop the Annual Budget for the Marketing Department - manage the budget and reconcile project spending.
Connect customer analytics and insights to positively impact customer interactions and business outcomes and leverage messaging to support the findings.
Manage to completion multiple projects from the annual Business Plan. Execute and implement integrated, multichannel marketing plans for assigned products/services.
Manage vendor partnerships as assigned, including but, not limited to online/mobile banking vendors.
Expertise in copywriting components of marketing promotions/communications and their impact on success.
Direct Market Research in developing the targets for each marketing communication program and measure ROI.
Analyze project work to improve the ROI of marketing programs.
Develop recommendations for the targeting criteria for products as well as online/mobile banking.
Establish performance objectives (response rate, etc.) for each program.
The ideal candidate is currently a Director or VP of Marketing with 8-10 years of marketing experience with a concentration in financial products and online/mobile banking (marketing planning/execution, marketing research).
Management experience - you'll be responsible for 4 direct reports.
Experience within a financial institution, financial services, member services, and/or credit union.
Knowledge of consumer financial services and products and the ability to learn the products and services.
Knowledge of consumer demographics and building marketing/communication criteria by channel for member awareness.
Deep, demonstrable understanding of marketing strategy development and ability to plan and execute effective promotions.
Ability to analyze and leverage data to improve results and increase ROI.
Understand and represent consumer perspectives, translating consumer/market needs into day-to-day project work.
Expert knowledge of paid advertising.
Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
Experience in creating and managing budgets.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable managing multiple projects, working in a fast-paced environment and able to meet deadlines.
Expert with Microsoft Office suite, as well as the ability to learn new software systems.
