The Role
As the Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in building our foundational infrastructure and driving our growth trajectory. From day one, you will have a substantial impact by supporting strategic initiatives, driving outcomes across the Finance team, and working closely with the executive team. This dynamic and growing team of Metropolites will look to you for substantive guidance, project management support, and as a liaison between the Finance department and the Senior Leadership Team. This is a hybrid role (flexible 3 days per week) with occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Act as the key driver of critical and cross-functional efforts within the Finance Team. Build and manage systems, tools, and programs to ensure objectives are met on-time, within budget, and with exceptional quality. Oversee multiple high-priority projects, ensuring they progress smoothly.
- Communication: Synthesize and disseminate departmental work to relevant stakeholders. Prepare materials for key moments, such as QBRs, board meetings, and company-wide updates.
- Problem Solving: Serve as a versatile player, addressing challenges across the Finance organization. Utilize your HR expertise to resolve issues, unblock dependencies, and instill finance best practices that drive the company forward.
- Analytics: Leverage data to validate and analyze insights that enhance programs, engagement, retention, and decision-making processes.
Requirements
- At least ten years of experience in a Finance or Project Management role within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Ideal candidates will have cross-functional experience spanning multiple finance disciplines.
- Demonstrated analytical and project management skills. Experience with data-driven decision-making, managing complex cross-functional projects, and reporting to senior management.
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, rapidly evolving environments. If you excel in situations requiring quick decisions with imperfect information and can adapt to changing circumstances, we want to meet you.
- While no specific educational background is required, competitive candidates will likely have advanced education in business, finance, or related fields.
- Experience in transportation, mobility, real estate, or logistics industries is a plus. A passion for enhancing the mobile commerce journey is essential.
When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. The anticipated base salary for this position is $180,000.00 to $220,000.00. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
