Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. The Baby-Friendly/Prepared Childbirth Coordinator is a professional registered nurse who is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certifications/designations that enhance the care given within the Women and Infants Service Line. As a Prepared Childbirth Coordinator, they will be certified to assist parents in making the transition from the role of expectant parent to the role of responsible parent. The educator may also teach Natural Family Planning. The educator must understand age ranges from birth through those of childbearing years.

Work Hours/Shift:
You Will Be Responsible For:
Plan, staff, and teach prepared childbirth classes.
Recruit, train, and evaluate instructor performance based on patient surveys.
Field questions from expectant parents.
Manage online patient registration.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a mother-Baby, Labor, or NICU registered Nurse required.
Preferred Skills:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Certification: Lactation Certification preferred (e.g., IBCLC, CLC). Prepared Childbirth certification preferred (e.g. Lamaze, ICEA, Bradley, Academy of Certified Birth Educators, etc.)
