Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the operations function for a Health and Welfare Benefits Organization.
Responsibilities of an Operations Manager include the following:
Identify and refine best practices for the operations team
Design and implement a model that delivers a superior customer experience while achieving operational efficiency
Measure and improve team performance based on performance metrics
Collaborate in the development of operational technology and creation of productivity tools
Train and update the team on sales, service, operating systems and ongoing insurance laws and regulations
Develop and coordinate incentive, recognition and motivation programs to optimize performance
Manages the relationship between clients, administrators, insurance providers, and analysts
Reports to Senior Leaders regarding operational statistics
Participates in internal and external meetings
Perform regular internal monitoring/training sessions
Ensure quality assurance goals are met and provide recommendations to meet changing customer needs
Succeeding as an Operations Manager will require the following core qualifications and skills:
5+ years of management experience in operations environment
Bachelor’s degree required
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills
Exceptional customer focus and professionalism
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Dedicated team player that demonstrates initiative, independence and good judgment
Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments
Proficient in MS Office
