Job Purpose:
e2Companies is seeking an experienced Service and Environmental Field-Testing Technician to join our team. The position will be remote unless on-site performing field work. Position can be located at our Florida office as well. This opportunity will require an individual with generator emissions stack testing background to work with our service teams providing field service and testing support of our innovative behind the meter, generation technology, for large commercial & industrial customers.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct emissions testing of generator engines for compliance certification/verification.
- Equipment preparation and operation
- Staging/setup/breakdown of testing equipment, analyzers, and materials.
- Follow all test methods, procedures, and processes as trained to do for quality assurance
- Apply sound mechanical and low voltage electrical skills while trouble shooting monitoring and analyzer systems
- Installing or upgrading equipment maintained by the company in various field locations
- Configuring hardware and software components after installation
- Performing routine maintenance on technology equipment
- Testing equipment to troubleshoot the issues
- Documenting installation and repairs
- Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls
- Teaching customers how to use the equipment properly
- Managing the stock of replacement parts and equipment
- Must be physically capable of performing work
- Consistent walking/standing
- Frequent lifting of emissions sampling equipment
- Use of hand tools and power tools
- Able to climb stairs and ladders and work in elevated positions
- Work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, windy, etc.)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Follow company safety policies and operate company vehicles
- Over the road travel required – travel may be frequent and for extended periods (up to 2 weeks at a time)
- Representing the company in a professional manner while at customer sites
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as required by your supervisor and other executives
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience in the field stack testing preferred
- Experience using Testo, Horiba, etc. preferred
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience in mechanical, commercial and/or industrial maintenance
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner
- Experience working in construction or industrial environments preferred
- Use of ladders, manlifts, and lifting up-to 40-50 pounds
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Actively participate on Safety Related Activities like Safety Committee Meetings, Facility Inspections, etc.
