The Senior Finance Manager will maintain effective financial controls within Americas as well as preparing and reporting on monthly management accounts of the company. They will support decision making and the preparation of the company profit plan, ensuring compliance within the Servomex Group on 3rd party due diligence and contracts as per the Spectris plc requirements.

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Provide financial reporting services to the Americas Site Leaders to enable review of information at both a consolidated regional level and an individual company level on a monthly basis
  • Support production of management and statutory accounts and tax returns for Spectris Group reporting
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly consolidated reports for review by the Servomex management team
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flows for the Americas to meet the overall profit planning requirements
  • Management of operational and transactional financial matters and improvement of related key operational processes
  • Identify cost saving opportunities through evaluation of performance within the manufacturing overheads
  • Ensure that internal control procedures are adhered to in order to safeguard business assets
  • Responsible for holding monthly reviews with non-finance managers / budget holders to deliver tighter cost control on overheads and ensure accurate forecasting
  • Deal with external /internal auditors, providing detailed analysis on sales and cost trends and on variances to budget and prior year numbers
  • Review customers’ and suppliers’ contracts for contractual terms and conditions and credit worthiness
  • Analysis and commercial review to support all major bids and proposals, including investment appraisals
  • Manage the 3rd party due diligence process and co-ordinating the timely and accurate reporting to the parent company. Review of financial and commercial arrangements for distribution channels and contact with Channel Partners
  • Utilise business systems to improve procedures, controls and management reporting across Servomex
  • Monthly update of manufacturing KPIs to provide better understanding of sales, stock control and productivity
  • Provision of analysis of sales performance by salesperson against forecast and plan to Head of Sales
Candidate specification

  • Previous experience of performing in a divisional accounting position
  • Experience within a customer orientated manufacturing organisation
  • Highly motivated and a passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Effective time and work management
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility
  • Proficient SAP user
  • Strong IT skills, remaining ahead of new technologies
  • Experience in the facilitating of Lean events
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques. Implementing Lean projects
