Job Summary: The Mechanical Engineer will support Management in the development of manufacturing documentation, processes and through continuous improvement initiatives. They will also be responsible for various projects including product qualification, product maintenance, tool design and other tasks as they arise. The primary goal of an industrial engineer is to maximize efficiency within a company by finding the best use of people, equipment, and facilities. Industrial engineers review a company’s current means of production and evaluate where changes must be made in order to improve product quality while reducing cost. They must be able to communicate ideas and proposals, as well as train workers on how to change their behavior to achieve maximum efficiency. Because the job is about being as efficient as possible, an industrial engineer must be able to work within a budget and account for any expenditure’s made.

Provides process improvements 2. Sets work standards. 3. Evaluates operational costs. 4.Validates capital expenditures.5. Documents operational procedures.6. Determines most economical process flows and performs project management functions.7. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends changes or improvements in operational process, procedures, and equipment and provides analysis to support these changes.8. Develops budget and capital expenditure plans for operational improvement,11. Lowers the cost of production by eliminating wastes in both manpower and materials.15 Researches, develops, and implements cost reduction program.16 Directs and assists in the preparation of various reports and presentation for field and executive management.17 Develops, maintains, and distributes reports as required.18 Other job duties may include analysis, operations management, logistics, technical sales, and quality control.19Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications: Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or other relevant field is required. A minimum of three to five years of previous employment in electronics industry is preferred. Experience in the field of connectors or cable assembly is highly preferred.Physical demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to use a keyboard, office telephone, fax, copy machine, and other office equipment. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand is also necessary and at times, walking and standing for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs. Remain continuously on task for several hours while sitting. Physical abilities sufficient to move from the office to remote sites. Full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.Working Conditions: This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop/desktop computers, photocopiers, fax machines, and cell phones. Occasional travel may be required. Work area is a well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
