Job Summary: The Mechanical Engineer will support Management in the development of manufacturing documentation, processes and through continuous improvement initiatives. They will also be responsible for various projects including product qualification, product maintenance, tool design and other tasks as they arise. The primary goal of an industrial engineer is to maximize efficiency within a company by finding the best use of people, equipment, and facilities. Industrial engineers review a company’s current means of production and evaluate where changes must be made in order to improve product quality while reducing cost. They must be able to communicate ideas and proposals, as well as train workers on how to change their behavior to achieve maximum efficiency. Because the job is about being as efficient as possible, an industrial engineer must be able to work within a budget and account for any expenditure’s made.

Job Specifications: Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or other relevant field is required. A minimum of three to five years of previous employment in electronics industry is preferred. Experience in the field of connectors or cable assembly is highly preferred.Physical demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to use a keyboard, office telephone, fax, copy machine, and other office equipment.
