The HR Generalist acts as a business partner and HR advocate primarily focused on supporting the VP of HR, Corporate Professional Team and WorldPac. The ideal candidate will be assessing human resources needs and initiating both proactive and reactive measures. This position will assist in, and monitor, the implementation of HR programs. Under general supervision of the VP HR / Sr. Area HR Manager for WorldPac, responsibilities will include employee relations, culture/recognition, recruiting/staffing, management development and training, HR policy/strategy, organization design/change management, compliance, diversity, compensation/benefits, and HR special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the first point of contact for all HR related questions from various members of management.
Serve as the first point of contact for the Corporate Professional Team and assigned Worldpac Teams.
Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations when necessary, review and complete warnings when necessary.
Enforces all company policies.
Partners with Recruiting and temp agency representatives to coordinate temp-to-perm teammate conversion, handles I-9 completion, assists teammates with payroll, time off, and benefit related questions.
Completes special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Conflict/ Mediation Management.
Meet with VP HR & Sr. HRM weekly to discuss Special Projects, FMLA, Workman’s Comp, Etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field
Desire to grow in HR field
Attention to detail, able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
Able to communicate with all levels of teammates and managers.
2-5 years HR experience in a generalist capacity.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
