What we are looking for…
A highly-organized and resourceful People + Talent Associate to help support our rapidly growing, geographically dispersed business team. This position will provide a variety of HR services across the business, ensuring an excellent overall employee experience. The People + Talent Associate will help execute our people initiatives, provide day-to-day employee support, and drive HR functions across the entire employee life cycle.
What you’ll do…
Maintain knowledge of and communicate changes in employment legislation to ensure adherence to federal, state and local legal requirements.
Own and maintain our HR records and systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Work with management across the organization to ensure compliance with employment law and company best practices.
Continuously review company-wide people policies, projects and practices.
Serve as the go-to contact for ad hoc People + Talent requests such as payroll questions, HRIS support, workers’ comp claims, timesheets, etc.
Help design and implement quarterly company-wide reviews, including refining survey questions, organizing peer reviewers, scheduling review sessions, following up with clear recommendations for individual team members, and translating feedback into training recommendations.
Assist in the development and implementation of company culture initiatives. Create surveys to track employee engagement and happiness, using findings to develop new people processes and procedures.
Build strong relationships across AvantStay, and a reputation as a trusted partner that team members can come to for questions and concerns with both confidence and comfort.
Support all aspects of the recruiting life cycle - reviewing candidate resumes, maintaining our applicant tracking system, scheduling phone screens and interviews, conducting reference checks, and compiling offer letters and contracts.
Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes of all employees.
What you’ll bring…
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
3+ years of HR related work experience in a high growth organization or startup environment
Must have knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, processes and terminology and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment
Ability to effectively prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while under strict deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Passion for working with people and providing an excellent employee experience
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion
