Position: Early Childhood Coach (2 positions available)
Location: All Preschool Sites
Reports to: Principal of Early Childhood

Position Description:Responsibilities of the Early Childhood Coach:
Provide in-school demonstration and coaching to teachers on all components of the preschool curriculum including Incredible Years Social Emotional Curriculum, Literacy and Math Curricula, Special Olympics Motor Curriculum, and effective preschool classroom management strategies.
Support teachers in creating universally designed classrooms to meet the needs of diverse learners
Provide training and quality management of preschool assessment tools including Teaching Strategies-Gold, PreLas, and any other district required assessments for preschool
Participate in grade-level and vertical planning meetings with teachers to analyze student work, review classroom assessment information, and plan for instruction.
Plan and provide initially and ongoing induction for new preschool staff on preschool curricular and preservice licensing requirements.
Participate in professional development seminars and opportunities related to preschool curriculum and assessment
Serve as a member of the preschool school leadership team
Participate in and support teachers in participation in preschool MTSS meetings
Observe classroom environments to provide feedback to teachers about compliance with licensing, ECERS, and Colorado Shines.
Provide recommendations to preschool leadership team about resource allocation for teacher training and classroom environment improvements
Other duties as assigned by the preschool team.
As needed, collaborate with special education team to help teachers implement student-specific special education accommodations according to their Individualized Education Programs.
Provide behavior support to preschool teachers

Qualifications:Must have:
Must possess or qualify for a Colorado teaching certificate/license in early childhood education or early childhood special education
Demonstrated success in teaching preschool students.
Knowledge of Teaching Strategies-GOLD.
Knowledge of preschool licensing requirements and Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scales
Knowledge of best practices and strategies in preschool behavior management.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional learning.
Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with other professional staff on instructional improvement issues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge and experience using preschool curriculum.
Demonstrated leadership skills.

Prefer:
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Demonstrated success in assisting English language learners develop.
Knowledge of second-language acquisition in the areas of English language development and supported English-content instruction.
Knowledge of and experience using coaching, consulting, and collaboration.
Knowledge of Colorado SHINES
Knowledge of the change process and ability to help teachers make sense of change.
Knowledge of Incredible Years

SALARY: Appropriate placement on the teacher salary schedule. Additional per diem for days required outside of teacher contract. ACSD #14 is a direct deposit employer. TOSA plus 20 days
