At Modern Disposal the Dispatcher plays a key role in the daily operations of the business and is responsible to communicate with Drivers and Driver Supervisors and assist with problem resolution while they are on route for residential and commercial lines of business. The dispatcher will handle incoming service orders and resolve any service issues.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Assign additional services in front lift, portable toilet, rear packer, and other lines of business
Print roll off, tractor, front lift, commercial rear packer, and portable toilet route sheets and work orders.
Allocate and print broker work for each week
Update residential routes to reflect daily changes in tower; print and put into appropriate driver’s mail slot for following day
Compile and send hours worked for temporary staff. Document on appropriate forms
Assist roll off, tractor, lugger, and front lift drivers and solve any customer problems that arise while on their routes. Connect with customers to remedy with customer service or sales departments as necessary.
Assign and print Sunday tractor work for Modern
Processing service calls from various industrial and plant customers as well as broker and third party maintenance services.
Schedule and assign roll of work for 2nd shift driver.
Assist drivers throughout the day and assign extra work as needed or assign back logged items during higher volume periods
Prioritize roll off work based on customer demand
Communicate with supervisors and staff on equipment issues requiring immediate attention
