In this role, you will contribute to Google and partner business growth by driving adoption and usage of both DoubleClick ad serving technology to support direct sales and various monetization products (Ad Exchange, DoubleClick for Publishers) to enable indirect growth. You'll understand partner monetization needs across channels (mobile, video, desktop, etc), and work cross-functionally with Product teams to optimize for business yield.

As a Platforms Strategic Account Manager, you will take responsibility for managing and renewing products of an existing book of business while identifying new business opportunities within those named accounts. You will be a key member of a larger team to ensure Google’s top partners receive superior account management and strategic consulting.

Google helps our partners find better ways to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. In return, our partners provide great content for our products, and they syndicate Google products to enhance their sites and apps. Global Partnerships team members expand and nurture these relationships by continually finding new opportunities and solving technical problems for our partners. The wider Global Partnerships team includes a variety of different organizations, including CorpDev, Emerging Business Development, Strategy and Operations, Google for Entrepreneurs, Area 120 and our Display Advertising Business.

Gain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and organizational structures to identify and execute opportunities for existing clients.
Participate in consultations and discussions with DoubleClick product terms and rates with C-level contacts, and act as conduit between DoubleClick Product and Services organizations to clients.
Understand full scope of partner monetization business including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used. Optimize usage of Google’s monetization suite in consultation with partners based on performance analysis, e.g. block list management, CPM thresholds, ad positioning.
Expand Google’s platform and business growth by identifying new inventory, emerging channels and products that support partner growth goals.
Analyze monetization and platform performance and present findings to key clients, influencing partner strategy by highlighting key opportunities to impact business growth through additional product usage; bring data driven insights to support recommendations.

Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of relevant work experience.
2 years of experience in a Client Facing or Sales capacity in the online advertising industry.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience working with third-party ad serving tools and yield optimization platforms (DFP, AdExchange). Understanding of the online advertising ecosystem.
Demonstrated analytical ability, including the ability to understand monetization metrics and apply these to potential optimizations.
Demonstrated partner relations, account management, and sales skills at an online ad technology firm or publisher/media organization.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced industry, with the ability to manage an evolving product set and client needs.
