As the Executive Director and leader of the community responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, acknowledging contributions, and developing high performing team members. The Executive Director shall lead through vision and values while overseeing the day to day operations including team member relations, resident and family services and communication, resident well being including our MorningStar WellStar program, quality assurance, financial management and regulatory compliance with the highest integrity and ethical standards. The Executive Director will lead with a resident directed approach to care. Additionally, a key component of this position is being the Sales Leader of the community ensuring the Sales & Marketing process is maximized to its fullest potential. Continuing Education: 40 hours of continuing education per calendar year through

company and outside trainings, industry events, educational programs and conferences.

Education: A college degree is preferred but not necessary if work experience fulfills requirements and skills needed to do the job.

Industry Experience: Minimum three years experience in senior living preferred and a passion to work with seniors.

Leadership and

Management Experience: Previous management experience including hiring, coaching, supervision and discipline of team members.

Previous experience with managing an Assisted Living community is preferred. Has demonstrated success in managing expenses and financial statements including variance reports.

Able to handle multiple priorities effectively while demonstrating interpersonal and political savviness.

Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate presentations as needed.

Proven ability to manage resident, family and team member relationships and to identify and build relationships within the local community that will drive business and revenue.

Proven success in building effective teams.

Sales Experience: Previous sales experience preferred or experience managing/overseeing a sales department.

Volunteerism and

Professional Memberships: Preferred and encouraged to serve in outside community, civic organizations and associations.

Technology: Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new applications and use existing MorningStar applications.

Time Management: Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours and understand the position requires being on call twenty four hours a day seven days a week.
