Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and eager Plumber Apprentice to join our team. As a Plumber Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced plumbers to learn and develop your skills in the plumbing trade. This is a hands-on role that involves assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Learn to interpret blueprints and building codes to determine optimal layout for plumbing systems.
- Carry out basic tasks such as cutting, measuring, and threading pipes, as well as assembling fittings and fixtures.
- Support the installation of water heaters, faucets, toilets, sinks, and other plumbing-related components.
- Help troubleshoot plumbing issues and make minor repairs under the supervision of a licensed plumber.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Learn and follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
- Attend training sessions and classes to gain knowledge and improve skills related to the plumbing trade.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Interest in pursuing a career in plumbing.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced plumbers.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- (Optional) Bilingual skills are a plus.
