Manage compliance and regulatory processes for TIB Mortgage and our Correspondent Banks. Coordinate training for both TIB employees and our customer banks. Assist Account Executives and Management with web-based training as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage staff in their process to evaluate and verify data integrity and validity of information submitted on Conventional, FHA, VA and Rural Housing residential loan case files to ensure the accuracy of mortgage loans
Perform loan analysis, along with compliance review, to ensure loans are disclosed and closed per CFPB regulations
Manage and supervise the Compliance Review team, including hiring, performance appraisal and disciplinary action
Oversee and supervise Compliance Review team to ensure that all loans purchased by TIB meet Regulatory requirements
Manage and verify case files in internal Loan Origination Systems and automated underwriting applications, updating codes and other loan data as required
Validate data discrepancies relating to third party vendors, such as ComplianceEase, CoreLogic and P&P
Review Loan Estimate, Closing Disclosure, Note, Rate Lock, DOT/Mortgage for accuracy of information including dates, loan amounts, fees, property address, etc. to ensure loan was closed per State and Federal guidelines. If any discrepancies Analyst will create a condition report and deliver to the Correspondent Bank
Answer all incoming emails and phone calls as well as escalation issues relating to compliance on mortgage loan files submitted for purchase
Assist Mortgage Division Manager with creating and implementing internal and external training related to compliance updates/guidelines
Review and calculate early disclosures, including the Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure to ensure compliance with CFPB regulations.
Responsible for performing and managing compliance check, through Compliance Ease software, to ensure mortgage loans meet CFPB guidelines, Section 32 (HOEPA), Section 35 (HPML), along with State and Federal compliance regulations
Responsible for managing the order and review of Social Security Number validation along with OFAC, FinCen, and Lexis Nexis information, to protect TIB from borrower fraud
Responsible for managing the order and review of LoanSafe Fraud Report in order to provide underwriters with appraisal and borrower information to validate the loan file.
Work directly with third party vendors on system issues, as needed
Attend webinars and outside compliance training sessions in order to stay on top of changing guidelines
REQUIREMENTS / DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required
2-4 years of mortgage compliance experience, preferably in mortgage banking
1-2 years of prior supervisory experience preferred
Prior Fannie Mae D/O-D/U experience preferred
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
A proven self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks
Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent customer service skills
Individual should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work within a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing
Regular and punctual attendance is required
