The Digital Content Marketing Specialist performs a variety of marketing and communications activities in support of the organizations marketing plan and/or as determined by the Director of Strategy and Business Development.
creates and sources/curates story-driven written, graphic, audio and visual content and executes distribution across multiple internal and external communications channels including print, email, and Internet (such as videos and social media posts)
publishes content daily via the above-mentioned channels
collects and analyzes data and produces aggregate reports relating to marketing activities for review by program and organization leadership
routinely engages with people (internally and externally) both individually and in groups through face to face and digital methods as part of the content creation or curating process
conducts research as necessary and contributes ideas to support ongoing development of the marketing plan
will perform a variety of activities in the creation and production of video and podcast content including (but not limited to) set design, location scouting, participant recruitment as well as technical functions such as operating cameras and monitoring audio.
The Digital Content Marketing Specialist position requires a minimum of one or more years of experience and a basic understanding of digital content marketing normally acquired through the attainment of an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Media Marketing, or similarly related communications discipline. A Bachelors Degree is preferred.
Create and source written, graphic, auditory and visual content for distribution across multiple internal and external communications channels including print, email, Internet (web site and social networks) and others to be determined.
Analyze raw data and produce aggregate reports on impact of marketing activities for review by Supervisor, Program Directors and Leadership Team.
Daily publish approved content to CK Family Services communications channels.
Support Director of Strategy and Business Development in creation and maintenance of editorial calendar.
Receive inbound communication, including email, phone calls, and Social Network.
Conduct interviews with a variety of individuals and groups of people to gain information that will lead to story content.
Messages in a professional and responsive manner and routes to the appropriate department representatives. Provide follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work with the CK program staff (both in the office and in the field) to solicit participation of internal and external stakeholders and groups to contribute toward creating content.
Submit content to supervisor for review and approval prior to publication and according to time frames established for each piece of content.
Ensure that all content submitted for review and approval by supervisor is grammatically correct, factually accurate, and adheres to CK Family Services values, goals, & policies.
Obtain relevant signed and dated releases for any images, audio, or direct quotes created or sourced that are intended to be used for publication and submit those releases along with content when seeking review and approval.
Contribute to the development of awareness raising campaigns as directed.
Represent CK in the community by attending community meetings as needed.
Attend training and staff development activities as required.
Maintain high standards of professional, technical, personal conduct and competence.
Report any Serious Incidents, including suspected child abuse or neglect, immediately to the Abuse and Neglect Hotline and Director of Operations.
Maintain confidentiality as required by government law and regulations, as well as maintain compliance with all CK Family Services policies, procedures, and state and federal laws.
Requires basic understanding of a specialized area within a comprehensive field of knowledge normally acquired through attainment of a Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Media Marketing, or similarly related communications discipline. Bachelors Degree preferred.

One or more years experience in creating and publishing online and/or print content (written, graphic arts, photographic, video, and/or audio). Multi-platform social media content experience is preferred.
Documented, demonstrated ability to produce compelling stories to communicate a mission, progress a cause, and raise awareness.
Must have passion for protecting children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation and for building strong, healthy families.
Must have the ability to work collaboratively with culturally diverse groups of individuals.
Skilled at creating both long-form content and real-time (immediate) content within the boundaries of an agency communications plan for publication.

Must be creative and demonstrate quick wit delivered professionally and as appropriate for the audience.
Must possess a strong understanding of social media marketing.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization and keyword optimization.
