Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated fraud involving job opportunities through communications such as unsolicited emails, online recruitment services such as LinkedIn, bogus websites, and text messages claiming to be from Parker Drilling. The aim of the fraud is to obtain personal information or money. Recent incidents have occurred involving both individuals and organizations falsely claiming to recruit on behalf of Parker Drilling. These emails and offer letters often appear legitimate and may include job description, salary, and benefit details. POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides total ownership for planning, tracking, and coordinating payroll, HR and Training records and processes for the Alaska Division to ensure rig operations are adequately and efficiently supported.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS will include total ownership of the following:

Maintain personnel files to set standards and audit records for accuracy
Track, identify and coordinate divisional training requirements and records
Maintain Learning Management System, reviews data, tracks completion and processes communication and certification to employee, Managers, and Supervisors
Partner with corporate support functions to reconcile record discrepancies and execute transactions related to payroll and training
Serve as a local timekeeper by gathering and formatting data for weekly payroll submissions to corporate office
Assist HR Manager with the processing and reviewing of employment applications to evaluate applicants’ qualifications and/or eligibility
Establish and maintains confidential employee information and documents
Answer inquiries relating to medical examinations, employment eligibility, salaries, and benefits
Perform office services such as document filing, scanning, answering and directing phone calls, distributing mail and purchasing supplies and materials
Maintain general office supplies and make routine purchases of supplies as required
Assists HR Manager with the development of various research and/or special projects
Assists with other duties and special projects as assigned

Associates degree
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Must have at least 2 years of administrative experience supporting the HR function of an organization
Must have a working knowledge of MS Office products and proficient computer skills
Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks
Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors
Ability to identify priorities, organize and manage time effectively
Desire for continuous career improvement
Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions
Work experience in oil and gas industry is preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Hearing, seeing ability of rapid mental coordination. It is required to be mentally alert for entire regular shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position may work in various locations - both in the U.S. and internationally. Some locations may be subject to extreme temperatures, hostile environments, civil unrest, etc. Also, travel to and from work location may require extended layovers in unfamiliar locations. Potential for exposure to temperature changes, wetness, confined spaces, chemicals, grease and oil, working with ladder/scaffolds, working with hands in water, and working alone. Parker Drilling will supply adequate training and equipment to meet the functions of the job.
