Job Description
Assists First and Second Cooks in the preparation of food for patients, cafeteria, and catering functions. Performs set up, breakdown, and sanitizing of cooking and serving areas.
Job Responsibility
- Assists First and Second Cooks in the preparation of food for patients, cafeteria, and catering functions.
- Assists in setting up tray line assembly and cafeteria for meal services.
- Assembles and gathers all required utensils for serving.
- Serves patients at tray assembly line, as required.
- Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes equipment after meal service.
- Covers, dates and refrigerates leftovers according to policies and procedures.
- Assists in preparing and delivering rendezvous trays to nursing units.
- Complies with hospital, department and regional sanitation, safety and fire guidelines and regulations
- Performs related duties, as required.
Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Minimum of one (1) year food preparation experience, required. Experience in an institutional or hospital setting, preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions, required.
