As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of Honeywell residential HVAC products through Honeywell distributors while working directly with contractor customers.
Contractor Development Specialist - Residential
Create and execute annual sales plan for the territory leveraging internal Honeywell resources to maximize sales growth.
Contractor Account Management - 70% of time.
Distributor support with other sales reps. - 30% of time.
You will be the front line seller who drives sales, identifying and generating new opportunities within current customer base as well as with new customers and channels.
You will foster customer satisfaction by maintaining regular customer contact and managing customer expectations.
Relationship building skills are critical to this role.
You will provide training for contractors and distributors on product value and technical aspects.
Host/participate in open houses to showcase Honeywell products to contractors.
Maintain, and provide reports and opportunity status using our customer relationship management system (SFDC).
Primary Locations: Cincinnati, OH & Lexington KY & Louisville, KY
Secondary Locations: Southern OH & KY
Travel: 30-50% (over nights ~25% but 4 days/wk out in field with customers)
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years direct sales experience
3+years of HVAC experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Outside/external customer sales experience (working with new and existing accounts)
Demonstrated experience in creating and executing successful client relationships and territory plans
Influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction – Self-motivated
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix- team environment
Diplomatic approach to conflict resolution
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to a group
Experience selling in contracting environment
