What you will do:
The Direct Retail Sales Representative establishes and manages customer relationships at corporate and retail levels within an established territory. Through the use of customer specific programs and a focus on distribution, this representative will work to strengthen corporate and retail relationships, as well as grow the TCCA brands in both grocery and specialty deli. This representative will function within the direct retail sales team and will collaborate with the DRT Sales Lead to achieve results. This role demands sales expertise, creative thinking and strong skills as an ambassador.

Here’s a day in the life:
Plan and execute regional and channel priorities that include product rollouts, promotional plans and/or campaigns and food shows; within a prioritized list of customers.
Visit retail stores within assigned accounts daily to build relationships, execute plans, improve sets, sell product, gain market and competitor insights, and learn about events and ways to become more integrated with individual retail store locations.
Strategically manage key corporate buying influences within customer accounts and track on progress of accounts monthly and provide annual reviews for customers.
Track and share progress within corporate and individual retail accounts daily/monthly and report out with manager and team. All reporting should be timely and accurate.
Manage schedule and routing throughout state to visit specified list of retailers on a consistent and as needed basis.
Assist customers with promotional activities, to include: Building displays, coordinating or executing sampling events, Staging POS, and assisting with product orders.
Present new products, distribution voids, sales programs and sales ideas to customers at the corporate and retail level and execute successes at retail through resets or product cut-in’s.
Utilize advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point for creation of sales materials, reporting and presentations to be used both internally and externally with customers.

Skills you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree

1-3+ years retail sales experience required; Understanding of profitability and trade is a plus. Experience in event marketing with strong brand representation is a plus.
1-3+ years account management experience preferred.
Utilizes a computer with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite including PowerPoint and Outlook.
Some ERP and systems experience preferred.
Previous food or dairy sales experience is a plus.
Food specific certifications or training is a plus.
Strong relationship building skills required.
