Budget Title: Instructional Support Associate (SL-2)

Salary: $20,908 - $30,000 (50% of Full-Time)

Binghamton University Libraries seeks a highly motivated customer-service professional to provide library services at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences located at the new Health Sciences Campus in Johnson City, NY. This part-time position's hours will likely be during the afternoons, Monday through Friday and will assist with circulation, course reserves, resource sharing, desk staffing, database maintenance of new volumes and copies and support of related library operations. The Health Sciences Assistant should be knowledgeable of current national and international developments in cataloging, classification and subject analysis. As a primary public service representative to the School of Pharmacy, excellent communication skills, the ability to interact successfully with a diverse patron base, and a demonstrated ability to successfully work independently are essential.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Strong commitment to customer service
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Organizational and problem solving skills
Ability to work effectively with a variety of students and staff in diverse public services
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed
Work independently and function effectively within a team setting
Preferred

1-3 years' experience working in a library setting
