We are seeking an individual to lead the Power Projection Portfolio (PPP) Program Management Office (PMO). The individual who is selected for this exciting career opportunity within JHU/APL's National Security Analysis Department (NSAD) will manage, guide, and oversee all day-to-day operations for the financial, contractual, security, programmatic and administrative aspects of the PPP, which reaches across multiple sectors/departments throughout the Lab. The PPP Business Project Manager is expected to operate independently, set priorities for the team, and adjudicate competing priorities to provide timely information, resolve issues, and contribute to sponsor requirements. As the Business Project Manager, the candidate is expected, to work in collaboration with the Power Projection Program Manager, to structure the team and establish the necessary skills to effectively lead all processes and tactical execution from the NSA Mission Area.
As Business Project Manager, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop an understanding of the unique nuances of the Power Projection Portfolio; and lead the NSAD PPP team of Financial Managers and Operations Coordinators in their interactions across the Lab to successfully execute tasking. The candidate is expected to lead the team and ensure accuracy and completeness in financial analyses, provide timely deliverables, meet all security requirements, streamline and/or develop new processes, and along with the Power Projection Program Manager effectively communicate portfolio status to NSAD leadership.
The Business Project Manager is the point person for all day-to-day activity within the portfolio. This person will work directly with the Power Projection Program Manager to resolve issues and adjudicate changes to routine operations that result in significant impacts to execution. The Business Project Manager will have the authority and responsibility to manage all day-to-day operations with the Power Projection team to enhance productivity, information management, and analyses.
In support of the Power Projection Program Manager, the Business Project Manager will:
Ensure all projects executed within the Power Projection Portfolio meet APL program management functions delineated within the JHU/APL Quality Management System.
Manage day-to-day PMO operations for all financial, contractual, security, programmatic and administrative aspects, and other duties as assigned.
Develop and delineate team responsibilities within the PMO.
Lead the development of process improvement/streamlining efforts including dashboards, business tools, and website/SharePoint enhancements.

Have a BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Demonstrate ability to lead individuals and teams and mentor staff members.
Have previous Project Management Experience
Have 10 years’ experience in the areas of financial and business management in a government contracting environment
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, possessing excellent oral and written skills to include experience in presenting to all levels of management.
Are a highly motivated self-starter.
Have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
Have previous experience in a DoD contracting environment.
Have a working knowledge of FAR, CAS and federal pricing procedures.
Hold an active Secret clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

Have a Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Have previous supervisory experience
Hold an active Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI poly level security clearance.
