Palo Alto branch office of large, consistently top-ranked global law firm that is a "more relaxed environment that most other large law firms" seeks an experienced paralegal to support complex commercial and IP litigation cases. You will have the opportunity to assist attorneys all the way through to trial, and will work on a variety of cases from securities litigation to intellectual property (IP) related cases, and will work directly with attorneys while building a satisfying career as a paralegal in a top-tier firm. This firm works on a bidding system for work, so you have the opportunity to work on cases of interest.

Qualifications: in addition to being a fast learner, team-oriented individual with a service-oriented, "can do" attitude to be successful in this role you must be articulate, attentive to details and extremely thorough. Strong computer skills are required including Word and Excel (facility with tables and charts), Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and familiarity with PowerPoint. Proficiency in litigation management software applications and proficiency in LexisNexis, Westlaw is required.

Flexibility to travel on occasion is ideal and flexibility for overtime is needed.

The ideal candidate will have commercial litigation experience and preferably some exposure to IP litigation, a four-year degree (required), a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. This position will require the ability to support complex litigation cases from beginning to end. You will support attorneys in Palo Alto and if/when needed handle overflow from the San Francisco office.
