You Will Be Responsible For:
Gamma Knife Center Department Leadership

Provides direction on campus and in collaboration with director or administrators
Operational oversight of the Gamma Knife Center
Develops, implements, and continually evaluates the Gamma Knife services to meet team, service, clinical, market, and financial targets
Develops annual goals and budget (operations and capital) proposal in collaboration with director
Gamma Knife Center Department Staffing

Monitors staff satisfactions and engagement scores, develops and implements plans to increase scores and ensures staff awareness and engagement in campus and AHCI initiatives
Service Quality/Performance Improvement

Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to effect change and implement initiatives to improve clinical care processes, increase patient satisfaction, and ensure best outcomes. The OMNC delegates, provides, and evaluates care of patients, including planning and delivering patient-focused care in partnership with interdisciplinary teams, patient, and family. OMNC participates in unit based patient specific rounds related to MIBS procedures and involves nurse manager, assistant nurse manager, charge nurse, physicians, and other team members, as required to address the needs of the patient. OMNC will evaluate, monitor, and assist with discharge planning, recommending alternative levels of care, as needed
New Program Development

Facilitates annual marketing plans in collaboration with AdventHealth Physician and Consumer Marketing team. Represents AdventHealth and AdventHealth Cancer Institute in the community as an “Ambassador” planning and coordinating screenings and educational offerings in outreach arenas; (i.e. speaking engagements, health fairs, corporate affiliation events, etc).

Qualifications

What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Administration
Three to five years experience in neuroscience nursing or related healthcare field involving neuroscience or radiation oncology
A minimum of three years supervisory experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in Nursing or Health Administration highly preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
If applicable, current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Certification in Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN), Critical Care Nursing (CCRN), or Oncology Nursing (OCN)
PALS within 6 months of hire date

Job Summary:
The AdventHealth Gamma Knife Center, the Neuroscience’s Minimally Invasive Brain Surgery Program (MIBS), and the Neuro-Oncology Brain/Spine Tumor program is structured to function as an international center of excellence by achieving established objectives using a team approach supported by the Operations Manager/Nurse Coordinator (OMNC). The OMNC, in collaboration with medical, clinical, and administrative leaders, is responsible for implementing clinical excellence in care across the care continuum for both inpatient and outpatient arenas. The OMNC guides the interdisciplinary team in performance improvement and the incorporation of evidence-based practice and incorporates input from clinical research for clinical trials into the daily operations of these programs. The OMNC helps individuals/patients/ family members navigate the medical systems; receive timely and appropriate evaluation, treatment, educational services; and access appropriate resources, as needed. The OMNC may facilitate/coordinate patient support and/or education groups and continually strive for innovative and creative strategies to impact and improve patient quality of life. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
