Supports research projects focused on stem cell, regenerative, and aging biology in fly and mammalian systems. Carry out lab assays, experiments, and analyses as instructed by Principal Investigator (PI). Assists PI, research staff, and students with various lab procedures and projects. Common procedures include fly husbandry, tissue dissections, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to multitask and be flexible in dealing with multiple potential projects or problems as needed.
B.S. or B.A. degree in biological sciences required.
Experience in some combination of fly husbandry, mouse handling, histology, tissue cell culture techniques, immunohistochemistry, or microscopy recommended, but not required.
