Currently we are seeking a Construction Inspector to work Full-Time in our Phoenix office.
On-Site representative to perform daily observation, field tests and prepare reports for various types of construction projects. Types of projects may include water distribution lines, wastewater collection lines, transportation, and land development projects.
Attend periodic progress meetings with the general contractor and owner and assist with the shop drawing review process.
This job requires excellent communication and documentation skills (Word, Excel or equal, Internet), a focus on details and an individual capable of performing with minimal supervision. A general knowledge of construction techniques, material properties and an ability to read plans and specifications is mandatory.
This job entails extensive manual labor, including the ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. Requires the ability to work at and easily maneuver around construction sites in various weather conditions. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding and trenches. Fear of heights or confined spaces could create a significant hardship.
This position comes with the use of a company vehicle for business travel in addition to all other standard benefits. This position may require some out of town work assignments. If so, housing arrangements will be provided by the company. Work hours of this position are not defined and will require work at all times that the general contractor is on-site performing substantial work activities.
4-Year engineering or construction management degree and 0-3 years of construction related experience
2-Year construction management program with a minimum of 4 years of construction related experience.
No degree and a minimum of 5 years of construction related experience in a field applicable to the work assignment.
