The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is looking for a Case Resource Manager to join our team in Spokane. In this role you will function as a Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) Specialist by providing quality assurance and quality improvement monitoring services for people who have developmental disabilities and their families. Some of what you'll do:
Conduct Adult Family Home (AFH) visits
Provide referrals, support services and technical assistance to Case/Resource Managers, Case management Supervisors, clients, families and service providers
Conduct National Core Indicator surveys with identified waiver participants
Perform monitoring activities for division clients who move from Residential Habilitation Centers and psychiatric hospitals to community placements
Schedule regionally sponsored, specialty and continuing education training activities
Perform yearly review of staffed residential homes
Understand and interpret DSHS/DDA mission, program policies and procedures, WAC and other regulations
Respond to voicemail and e-mail messages as soon as possible
Represent DDA and participate in agency meetings as required
Effectively utilize interpreters and other alternative means of communication
Travel as required
What we're looking for:
Ability to identify support needs for persons with developmental disabilities
Demonstrated individual judgment skills
Ability to adapt to change
Possess a high degree of communication skills (listen, observe, communicate, interview, understand, confront, engage in problem solving, and resolve conflict)
Ability to compose professional, clear, and grammatically correct correspondence
Who should apply?
Professionals with bachelor's degree in social sciences, social services, human services, behavioral sciences or an allied field and two years of experience providing social services to people with developmental disabilities
Satisfactory completion of 12 months as a Case Resource Manager Trainee
Graduate training in social science, social services, human services, behavioral sciences or an allied field will substitute, for one year of the experience.
