This is a new role as a result of growth for Berry Aviation Inc. This role is located in our corporate office, San Marcos, TX. This role requires general accounting and finance leadership in a matrix-type environment. Duties include, but are not limited to the preparation, review and analysis of financial reports and operations. Incumbent will coordinate accounting matters with other departments. Must have attention to detail, relevant business and financial acumen and technology savvy. This is a long-term growth and reward opportunity for the right candidate.
1. Leadership of BAI’s General Accounting and Finance practices and reporting deliverables
2. Coordination and Audit of BAI monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting close process and cycles
3. Create, Implement and Maintain BAI’s Financial, Budgetary and Variance review and analysis processes
4. Coordinate Payroll, State, Local and some international tax reporting and compliance
5. Research and document accounting, finance, state, federal, and international accounting and tax inquires and provide sound recommendations for the CFO and management
6. Account analysis and reconciliations
7. Work independently with limited supervision but as part of a team; exceeds deadlines
8. Ability to interface with senior management
Minimum years of experience necessary to perform essential functions of the job:
Five or more, required
ERP, G/L and Expense Software Implementation
Full Charge P&L Prep and Delivery
Some Loan and Banking Expertise – Desired
Some Government Contract Accounting – Desired
Minimum education level to perform essential functions of the job:
Required - Bachelor’s degree; major accounting or finance
Unique skills or certifications needed to perform essential functions of the job:
Accounting or Finance degree; CPA preferred
Government Service Accounting Experience, desired
Acquisition/Sell-Offs Accounting and Financial Analysis, desired
Sage ERP G/L, Corridor Software experience, a plus
