A-V Services seeks experienced individual with project management abilities and knowledge in the multimedia aspect. This full-time position is in the NY Metro area, focusing support to one corporate client. Applicant must have a good customer friendly approach and a positive work attitude. Services includes abilities to manage from start to finish projects pertaining to Audio and Web Conferencing; Telepresence Video Conferencing (desktop, mobile and room-based systems); Digital Signage (including video walls); Video Streaming (live webcasting, video on demand, IPTV) technical support for business events and for the firm's executive gallery.

This position will be 100% accountable for all aspects of audio visual projects related to office and building based services including customer requirements, budget forecasts, audio visual design proposal, vendor bid process, project plan, implementation, testing and operational turnover into production.

General Oversight

  • Governs the audio-visual project lifecycle from initiation to closure
  • Collaborates closely with Internal Departments and lines of business
  • Collects customer requirements and scope of work and gets appropriate signoff for audio visual
  • Develops standard audio-visual project plan and monitors
  • Develops audio visual budget for projects and manages forecasts and actuals
  • Manages third party audio and visual vendors on design and execution
  • Ensures appropriate metrics and reporting are in place to track design, financial performance and execution

Design and plan

  • Leverages standard audio-visual designs and applies to customer requirements
  • Creates and documents audio visual design
  • Develops vendor bid packages relative to customer requirements
  • Works in partnership with sourcing to analyze vendor bids and recommend vendor
  • Develop audio visual project plan in partnership with GRE and AV vendor
  • Procure equipment from vendor

Implementation and Testing

  • Manage appropriate vendors during implementation
  • Staging and testing of all audio-visual equipment
  • Configuration of all room-based audio-visual equipment
  • Test and cutover audio-visual equipment
  • Training of line of business operations on all audio-visual equipment
  • Completing operations turnover into production

Qualifications I Experience

  • 3 years of experience in Information Technology, with an emphasis on audio visual technologies, multimedia and project management.
  • Strong experience with Telepresence and Audio Conferencing technologies
  • Strong experience with Telepresence endpoints, Integrated Audio-Visual systems, Wired and Wireless Microphones, Control Systems, Digital Signage, IPTV and Smart Boards
  • Good understanding of Network technology
  • Excellent ability to multi-task several audio-visual projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
