Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.
The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.
The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
We believe that great leaders attract and retain great talent. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to own and execute the leadership development strategy at Delek US. This position will be responsible for building programs to help develop and grow our leaders at all levels in the organization through coaching, facilitation, training and consulting to maximize leader, division, and organizational performance. As the Leadership Development Program Manager, you will be driving the leadership development strategy to lay the foundation for programs that support critical leadership competencies needed to grow with the company. This role will bring both strategic leadership as well as a track record of hands on development and delivery of leadership programs and is comfortable operating at both levels in order to build and execute on this critical responsibility.
This individual will be a credible subject matter expert, key contributor, and project lead in the rollout and long-term adoption of our new leadership strategy, including onboarding and continuous coaching for new and emerging leaders at all levels of the organization. This role will be responsible for delivering best-in-class education, experiences and exposure for our leaders that enhance organizational performance and align to our core values.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high energy, collaborative leader who has experience working with managers and leaders at all levels, and a proven record of accomplishment in building a progressive leadership development strategy. This position will report to the Senior Director of Talent Management and is located in the Brentwood, TN corporate office.
The Leadership Development Program Manager will provide expertise in the design, implementation and evaluation of processes, programs and interventions that enhance organizational performance and professional development of Delek leaders and team members, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide values and goals. These processes will recognize top talent, create, and reinforce a high performing culture, foster engagement, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Effectively assesses, designs, implements, and evaluates programs that support the leadership development strategy and overarching people strategy (i.e. leader onboarding, curriculum for leader transitions, targeted development, formalized programs, and coaching)
Supports the development of a leadership development competency set which embodies our culture and core values and can be easily incorporated into our talent processes and systems
Evaluate assessment tools to identify organizational talent gaps as well as development needs for individuals or departments; develop and lead executive assessment and coaching processes as well as improved assessment capability across the company.
Develops and/or curates leadership content, resources, and tools (i.e. microlearning, assessment tools) to help drive the development of leaders at all levels
Coaches, facilitates, and trains, formally and informally, across a variety of topics (i.e. management, feedback, change) and in many different situations such as individual/group, workshops, webinars, and more
Leads and participates in efforts that support the integration of the organization’s new leadership methodology and approach into people processes, systems, and metrics (i.e. integration into processes such as Performance Management, Talent Acquisition and Employee Engagement)
Consults with stakeholders to understand their leadership and management development needs and the appropriate sponsorship, engagement and alignment; create and execute programs and processes to drive professional growth and accountability across the organization; perform training needs and skill gap analysis to identify, track, and drive measures of success/impact
Define and manage executive coaching services delivery for the enterprise; administers key talent surveys and feedback tools (i.e. 360 assessments) as required to measure employee engagement, talent development, leadership effectiveness and application of learning
Partners with HR Leaders, Executives, and other organizational stakeholders to provide support of major culture initiatives such as change management framework/process, tools and consulting, mergers and acquisitions, new lines of business, and departmental reorganizations
Design, build, implement, and deliver high potential development programs for Delek’s top talent; proactively managing accelerated or high potential leadership pool(s) across the organization; ensures leadership development activities incorporate experiential learning, mentoring, coaching and rotational assignments in addition to classroom and virtual learning methods
Supports development of processes and tools to help leaders more effectively select, promote, develop, manage and reward talent
Partner with HRBP’s, Talent Management, and other organizational stakeholders to identify development opportunities for high potential and key leaders that support talent and succession strategies aimed at increasing diversity at leadership levels and emerging leadership levels
Build a program to support new or emerging managers, for individuals new to management and experienced managers who are new to Delek (i.e. onboarding programs, new leader assimilation activities, internal support networks, mentor programs)
Identifies, develops and tracks key talent management metrics and prepares regular reports for review by Senior Leadership to measure success of key talent initiatives
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
At least 5 years working in Leadership Development (i.e. design, facilitation, coaching, and program management) and/or Talent Management (i.e. executing/managing talent programs such as talent reviews, performance management, and/or high potential development) required
At least 5 years working with leaders at all levels – from supervisors to C-level executives preferred
Experience developing and supporting Leadership Programs for large scale organizations including multi-tracks; high-potential and general leadership curriculum
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication, presentation and influencing skills, particularly capable of delivering leadership development activities at the most senior levels in the organization to establish trust, respect, competence and confidence
Demonstrated experience and leadership success in supporting company-wide integrated talent management programs including: talent reviews/succession planning, performance management, leadership/behavioral/technical competencies and employee engagement surveys
Strong technical/professional expertise in the areas of adult learning, learning and executive development, organizational development consulting and learning/instructional design
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel; experience with various web-based and e-learning development software is a plus
Adaptable and innovative in design and execution of learning and development programs, processes and solutions; comfort with ambiguity and navigating between strategic and tactical execution
Executive presence, excellent leadership, project management, data reporting and analytics, communication, and interpersonal skills
Must be highly organized, analytical, action and detail oriented with the ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment
Ability to travel when needed – no more than 15% annually
Preferred Education and Experience:
Advanced degree in HR, Business, or other related discipline
Working knowledge of leadership models such as Covey, Maxwell, Emotional Intelligence, Strengthsfinder, or similar business leadership curricula
Certifications/tools commonly used in Leadership, Learning, and Organizational Development are preferred such as: Myers Briggs, DISC, Hogan, Strengthsfinder, 360 Feedback, Crucial Conversations, and more
Demonstrated experience in the integration of leadership development and talent management strongly preferred
Executive coaching experience is a plus
Merger and acquisition experience a plus
Experience in Oil & Gas or Energy sector is strongly preferred
