Pop Culture Reporter

The New York Times - New York, NY (30+ days ago)4.0

The Culture Desk is seeking a nimble journalist to report and write columns about fast-moving pop culture stories, specifically about film and TV.

The conversations about these two artforms continue for days (and sometimes weeks) after release and we hope to find someone who has regular awareness of discussions taking place, the ability to brainstorm appropriate and unique angles and the ability to anticipate what moments are worthy of our attention.

The focus of this writer should be set exclusively on digital coverage.

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of digital writing about television, movies and is collegial, fast and enthusiastic.

This is a Guild position.
