ALLOCATION MANAGER A|X DMS

Description of Responsibilities:
In this role, you are a critical part of the organization. You are responsible for the management and integration of the Allocation team. You will ensure accurate and timely allocation of stock to stores to support sales growth and customer experience You drive sales, margin, and inventory turn in close partnership with many talented teams through keen business acumen and operational excellence. You anticipate the needs of the business by providing relevant, timely and actionable analysis. You develop and motivate your team and those around you fostering a culture of high performance. You live in the details but think strategically and communicate clearly, with an emphasis on continuous improvement across the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver best in class in store availability, ensuring all products maintain correct depth to promote in store standards, customer experience and maximize sales
Partner with the VP of Planning to develop and enhance distribution plans and allocation methodology. Benchmark current practices and evolve ‘in house’ processes to become best in class. Leverage systems
Take leadership role in managing allocation calendar to recommend optimal receipt flow considering commercial needs as well as operational constraints
Consistent collaboration with cross functional teams to implement commercial strategy and improve communication flow
Partner with key functions, Merchants, Retail Planning, Logistics, Operations, Inventory to drive optimization within channels, reducing carry over and increasing margin and turn.
Analyze daily/weekly sales reports and propose timely and appropriate action. Actively manage SKU count, ensuring old/ obsolete product is allocated/sold through as communicated.
Ensure regular flow of volume to the DC and Retail stores, resolving technical issues in a timely manner
Identify store trends and through analytics, build robust allocation plans to optimize sales opportunities
Visit stores, understand impact of allocations and amend process / guidance accordingly
Create effective working relationships with key Retail partners, providing solutions in a concise and accurate format regarding stock availability issues.
Set clear goals and objectives for the Allocation team, lead and inspire through regular reviews, coaching and support
Geographically responsible for US, Canada, and Mexico.
Must have 8+ yrs. experience in Retail Planning; Store Planning and/or allocation experience preferred
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
Must possess advanced Excel Skills and technical proficiency
Must have strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast paced, lean environment
