Supervisor to: Packaging Operator Staff
Supports: Brewing and Cellar Production Supervisors; Production Manager (Terreux)
Objective: Supervisory Leadership role primarily focused on execution and quality of
processing our beers through finishing to deliverable goods, while assisting production
department in overall brewery management.

? Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of packaging equipment and
production areas
? Responsible for inventory and ordering in accordance with production schedule
? Responsible for the training and support of hourly production staff assigned to packaging
? Provides assistance to cellar tasks when required under the direction of the Production
Supervisory team
? Responsible for leading and monitoring a safe working environment in accordance with
best practice and company policy
? Responsible for quality/production balance including but not limited to sampling, line
checks, schedule changes, etc.

Primary Duties
? Ensuring packaging schedule is up to date per most recent developments on daily basis
? Ensure packing staff is assigned to work duties per training level and best use of time
? Coordinate with warehousing team to manage internal movement of dry/finished goods
? Participation in weekly Production meetings as well as Planning, Safety and Management
meetings per schedule
? Lead operation of packaging equipment including bottle filling, can filling, keg filling,
and keg washing
? Review completed process paperwork and ensure accurate expression in Obeer, and
associated production management tools
? Train, develop, and guide packaging department staff with continuous improvement as a
constant goal
? Create and maintain proper SOP documentation in accordance with management
? Schedule arrival and unloading of incoming packaging materials, including but not
limited to glass, cans, paperboard, kegs, and tertiary materials
? Assist with Terreux Packaging team as guided by Terreux management
? Maintain a sanitary environment, which includes but not limited to cleaning floors, walls,
tanks and ceilings within the limitations of the packaging production areas
? Maintain a “tour ready” workspace
? Regular and proactive maintenance of packaging equipment; lead maintenance requests
for associated equipment

Secondary Duties
? Supports daily Brewing, Cellar and Terreux staff as needed
? Basic knowledge of cold side processes, beer handling, and CIP
? Backs up the cellar and pilot departments as needed/requested

? Physically be able to bend over, twist, kneel, climb stairs, stand all day, lift 55+ pounds,
work in a non-temperature controlled environment and repeatedly handle hot and cold
? Strong mechanical aptitude
? Drive a small truck (California Class “C” license required)
? Lift Truck experience/certification
? Strictly follow recipes and standard operating procedures while recommending ways of
improving them.
? Willingness to work at clean or sour beer facilities as needed
? Willingness to work occasional weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
? Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical in a 24-hour operation

? High School Diploma / GED. Brewing, Engineering, or other related education preferred
? Experience with beverage filling equipment/automated packaging systems
? Previous supervisory/management experience
? 21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
? Forklift Certified
