Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Support development and execution of Marketplace Transformation (MPT) Trade Zone Attack (TZA) plans through financial modelling and data analysis, inclusive of data from merchandising, marketing and retail space management. Relate financial plans and results to planning/mapping tools, decision-support tools and location/door database.

As the Sr. Manager, Data & Analytics - MPT, he/she will achieve this mission by:

Building and maintaining financial models to develop TZA plans and measure results
Translating high-level data into insights for prioritizing geographic zones, clusters and individual doors
Interpreting data and field insights to validate the most relevant target consumers per trade zone

Key Responsibilities:
Planning
Develop and maintain the MPT Strategic Business Plan with MPT Directors
Together with Key Cities Team, co-develop adidas Annual Trade Zone Attack (TZA) plans, including geographic and channel strategies and fiscal forecasting
Deliver semi-annual updates on TZA plan progress and relevant insights
Management
Provide key inputs into MPT annual target setting and evaluation
Ensure financial but also non-financial managers are provided highly accurate information and analysis for their business decisions at formal milestones and as needed
Financial
Drive project budget management and business structure per TZA plan as well as ROI estimates
Track and report on KPIs for NAM MPT initiatives
Identify incremental distribution opportunities for DTC & wholesale accounts using predictive modeling
Systems, Tools and Processes

Track and document TZA KPI’s and performance evaluation within database
Enhance MPT overall data capabilities and use of data (including supporting the development of additional data sources, analytic capabilities, or IT tools as required)
Branded space life-cycles: Closely track and define budget requirements for areas of invest/divest/refresh
People Management
Lead MPT/MC designated Project Managers (formal or virtual) to fulfill mission and targets as defined. Provide regular coaching and feedback to drive success.
Actively manage a network across the organization to ensure the MPT/MC portfolio of tools, systems and services are highly relevant to the business and its priorities. Provide training to stakeholders as needed.

NAM: Business Development team, Key Cities team, Business Units, Retail/ecom, Concepts & Production, Trade Marketing and Concept to Consumer Teams
Global Sales Project Management team, Global Key Cities teams from other adidas Regions
External Service providers / vendors
Accounts (in collaboration with CTC/Sales)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated analytical skills, comfort with Finance and/or Accounting principles and good understanding and experience with retail math and retail financial drivers
Proven ability to operate cross functionally, join data from various sources and develop creative and innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment
Strong prioritization skills and the ability to accomplish assignments simultaneously under tight timelines
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, stakeholders, sales representatives, peers, clients and customers
Understanding in fundamental database design and development. Ability to gather data from multiple sources and manipulate the data to develop demand-driven and action-based reporting and analysis
Advanced skills in Excel. Strongly proficient skills, Word, PowerPoint, Tableau and/or Microstrategy
Advanced level skills in financial modeling, analysis and reporting
Experience with data blending tools such as Alteryx or Tableau Prep
Ability to tell a story through data to drive insights
Strong process and project management skills
Experience working closely with senior and mid-level leaders across functions preferred

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of business experience in Finance and/or Data analytics and Planning
University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
Industry-specific experience preferred
Advanced Excel skills required
Technical skillset preferred (SQL, Data Modeling, Tableau and/or Microstrategy)
