Kelly Engineering has a great opening for a SMT Operator with experience programming AOI machines. Our client is based in Greenville, TX and uses Samsung machines.

Working under general supervision this position is responsible for the programming & maintenance and operation of the automated pick and place and AOI machines.

Duties include:
SMT operation and process using various software
Solve any problems of recognition, standard components and especially those with special geometry (QFN, TQFP, LQFP, Connectors).
Create programs for pick and place machines for balancing of the components on each machine to minimize production times. Production Planning software used.
Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) Programming.
Perform First Article Inspection through the AOI
Develop lead-free thermal profiles (Pb & Pb-Free) using M.O.L.E. software for Heller ovens.
Hands on problem solving, reading/preparing work instructions.
Perform all levels of preventive maintenance of SMT equipment.
Other duties assigned as required.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years+ experience in SMT processes.
Samsung/Hanwha programming
EKRA Screen Printer set-up, Program & Troubleshoot.
Hanwha Pick & place
Heller reflow ovens
Pemtron AOI
Nordson Conformal coating machine

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
IPC-610 certification (Preferred)
IPC J-STD (Preferred)
Able to identify electronic components, polarities and location designators.
Understanding of Bill of Materials & Drawings.
Basic ability to work in a team.
Basic ability to comprehend and follow verbal instructions to carry out procedural changes and current standard operating procedure.
Knowledge of pick and place automated assembly machines.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Flexible and willing to work longer hours if needed.
Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and organizational skills
