For evaluation purposes, acceptable qualifying experience for all positions must have been in a paid capacity unless noted otherwise in the minimum qualifications for the posted position.

Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed. A minimum of 15 through 29 work hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of experience in HVAC operation and maintenance of controls, air handlers, steam and chilled water and pumps.

EQUIVALENCY(IES):
Associates degree or higher in an electrical or electronic technology field plus one (1) year of the stated experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
A two (2) year certificate in an electrical or electronic technology plus one (1) year of the stated experience meet the education and experience requirements.

LICENSE(S) and/or CERTIFICATION(S):
Valid driver's license and good driving record.

OTHER REQUIREMENT(S):
Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY(IES):
Knowledge of methods and techniques of maintaining and repairing plant equipment, machinery, utilities and facilities.
Knowledge of building and electrical codes.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
Knowledge of boilers, chillers, RTU's and split systems.
Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
MS Office or similar software skills.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.

PREFERENCE(S):
Previous Building Automation or Energy Management System experience is a plus.
