Job Summary & Essential Functions:
The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for supporting the delivery of site products on-time and in compliance with customer and industry required standards. The OM will ensure the day-to-day execution of production plans in accordance with Vantage and customer contractual obligations and lead all shop-floor teams. The OM will provide input to and guide the implementation of all manufacturing activity, travelers, processes and improvement plans for the site. The OM will actively drive continuous improvement opportunities. The OM will report to site leadership and will be supported by a Shared Services organization.
Essential Functions
Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with FAA regulations, customer specifications, internal quality standards, and to the agreed contractual schedule.
Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards, and in accordance with the applicable laws and the applicable regulatory requirements.
Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are at an agreed level of granularity and frequency to meet or surpass all contractual and financial objectives.
Drive day-to-day shop-floor teams in delivering to agreed operating plans, ensuring adherence and compliance to all processes. Actively monitor all processes and provide critical feedback to improve performance as required.
Maintains inventory control of raw materials, components, and finished goods via perpetual inventory processes.
Actively support certification and maintenance of appropriate Quality standards required by site customers and the aerospace industry (AS9100D, ISO9001:2015). Ensure Vantage QMS processes are defined, used, trained for and maintained as required.
In collaboration with the Site Leader, determine additional PMAs, products and capabilities for the site. Plan and execute their addition to the company.
Support the implementation and onboarding of fiberglass capabilities to on-board the Glassform products.
In accordance with company values and processes, lead and mentor direct reports and actively collaborate in skills assessment and top-grading initiatives for the site teams. Actively manage performance and capacity expectations.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:
BS Degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or similar technical educational background.
Have knowledge of FAA regulations related to the general aviation PMA parts and Owner Produced Parts.
Familiarity with blueprints, engineering documents, service bulletins, aircraft manuals and catalogs.
Must have three (3) to five (5) years of aviation maintenance experience and/or be graduate of aviation technical or an A&P school.
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience of progressively increasing responsibility in a manufacturing environment preferably in general aviation/aerospace and/or defense
Proven expertise and deployment of quality lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools and processes.
Well-developed knowledge of MRP tools and process and the active use of ERP management systems and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Aviation experience, we will consider candidates with three (3) or more years of general aviation aircraft experience.
FAA PMA manufacturing experience required - knowledgeable of FAA rules and Regulations
Hold general knowledge of precision tools. Understand how to read a micrometer, depth gauge or dial calipers.
Pilot license preferred but not required.
Proven leadership competencies to be able to lead, manage, influence, inspire and motivate co-workers and employees.
Self-starter with excellent time management skills, project management and ability to establish objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve those objectives.
Be able to make technical and data driven decisions and execute with limited management support.
Mechanical aptitude in general aviation and possess the ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
Ability to applies broad knowledge to act as a key contributor on complex or critical assignments by using logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons or facts from data to draw conclusions.
Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to articulate clear messages and reach/engage successfully all levels of the organization to include customers.
Superb computer literacy and able to fully utilize all facets of Microsoft software to include project planning.
Intimate ERP experience and deep familiarity with the intricacies and utilization of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment such as Epicor, SAP or other similar software.
Must be US Persons per ITAR §120.15 and EAR §772.1, i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, as controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
