Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various types of commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, contributing to overall efficiency and safety.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, vehicles, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, including but not limited to commercial vehicles, tankers, and delivery vans.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Assist in the transportation of materials or equipment as needed, utilizing skills in manual transmission operation.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while performing all duties.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance or repair work.
- Experience operating heavy equipment and commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission systems is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a delivery driver or bus driver is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to maintenance tasks.
