Mercy Multiplied America, a Christian residential home for women, comprised of four U.S. locations, has an immediate opening for a part-time Web Specialist at our Corporate office located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Note: This is a part-time position at 32 hours/week; however, it is eligible for paid time off and insurance benefits.
To be successful in this position, one must have the following:
Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field preferred. A degree in marketing, communications, or advertising will also be considered.
Experience with website design/development, content management, and light programming.
Considerable knowledge of basic programming:
Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3.
Proficiency with WordPress CMS.
Experience with Blackbaud (Luminate Online), Shopify, and/or other online fundraising and Customer Relationship Management software a plus.
Understanding of mobile and responsive design.
Knowledge of PHP is beneficial but not required.
Must have a thorough understanding of and dedication to the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with high personal standards and demonstrated Christian work ethics.
Keen knowledge of the latest relevant technology and online marketing trends and other innovative marketing communications tools.
Superior written and oral communication skills required.
Demonstrated ability to successfully execute programs, prioritize projects and adjust priorities due to changing environments, budgets, and evolution of strategies.
Basic understanding and use of Google Analytics and Google Ads-as used with a Google Grant-is strongly preferred.
Basic understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) is preferred.
Experience with digital advertising—especially Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube—is preferred.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Programming & Web Content Management
Performs basic programming, web design, and website maintenance using WordPress and basic HTML5 and CSS3.
Monitors SEO scores and adjusts content accordingly.
Updates website content as needed/directed using brand standards and best practices.
Troubleshoots website issues when necessary and updates plugins with versioning.
Builds digital peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns for annual Run for Mercy (RFM) 5K races, complete with online registration, donation and sponsorship forms, email automation, etc.
Reviews email campaigns to check for responsiveness and cohesiveness in design.
Collaborates with Project Coordinator to develop and implement email marketing strategies under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications.
Develops and regularly refreshes content and design of email drip campaigns, welcome series, peer-to-peer fundraising emails, and other email campaigns.
Maintains email lists and interest groups to appropriately target constituents with relevant email messages.
Maintains Google Grant account regularly and stays knowledgeable of best practices and ways to optimize click-through rates and increase ad spend.
Conducts market/targeting research to make recommendations for digital advertising strategies.
Implements social ads as needed/directed on digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Search Engine Optimization
Monitors optimization of web properties using tools like Moz Pro.
Works with content producers to develop highly optimized blog and podcast content.
Develops link building strategies, coordinating with key stakeholders and content producers.
Regularly updates meta content and corrects issues like 404 errors.
Performs keyword research to inform campaign strategies.
Regularly reports on website trends and Google Analytics stats and Google Grant status as needed/directed, seeking areas of opportunity that may influence campaigns.
Monitors SEO health often and reports on areas of strength and opportunities for growth.
Tracks and reports on email statistics, including, but not limited to, open rate, click-through rate, forwards, spam score, etc.
Reports on digital advertising campaigns, offering recommendations for optimization of ads.
