- Patient Care: Providing direct medical care to residents, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and addressing any immediate medical needs.
- Assessment and Monitoring: Conducting regular assessments of residents' health conditions, noting any changes or concerns, and updating care plans accordingly.
- Coordination of Care: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care plans are implemented and followed.
- Educational Support: Providing health education to residents and their families on managing chronic conditions, preventive care, and overall wellness.
- Emergency Response: Being prepared to handle medical emergencies, providing immediate care, and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatments, medications administered, and changes in residents' conditions.
- Support for Activities of Daily Living (ADL): Assisting residents with ADLs as necessary, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Advocacy: Acting as an advocate for residents' rights and needs, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support.
- Quality Improvement: Participating in quality assurance initiatives, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Emotional Support: Offering emotional support to residents and their families, understanding and addressing their concerns.
