At Epiroc USA LLC, our Rock Drilling Tools (RDT) Division develops, manufactures and markets rock drilling tools worldwide. Its products are used for rock excavation within mining and construction for both surface and underground applications. This open Product Manager - Underground/Top Hammer opportunity will be based either in Commerce City/Denver, CO or Elko, NV. Preferably, the successful candidate will reside within either location/area.

The Product Manager - Underground/Top Hammer role provides leadership, guidance and business development of Underground Top Hammer (TH) as well as Hand Held (HH) products with focus on organic growth and consolidated profitability. The successful candidate will apply the necessary emphasis on each market segment to insure acceptable market penetration in all geographies through direct and distributor sales channels. Managing product development and inventory flows, arranging field trials to substantiate value of Epiroc products, training resources and finding solutions to grow end user loyalty are critical to success in this role. The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. Noise protection is required in this role. This position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Developing and implementing the appropriate marketing and sales strategies needed to insure market penetration of all market segments (Mining, Quarry, Civil) and channels within the United States
Coaching, supporting and guiding the following: sales and support representatives, direct reports, indirect reports, Service Center personnel and independent distributors
Analyzing market price levels and development of all list pricing for HH and TH products sold into underground applications in the United States
Advocate the Product Companies to provide the necessary products to meet US customer requirements for all applicable market segments and ensure product availability thru secondary sourcing if necessary
Willing to actively address product problems, which will arise from time to time, and coordinate the necessary activities to get the problem resolved quickly
Coordinating the exposure of TH & HH products to the marketplace through shows, demos, advertising, etc.
Preparing sales forecasts/reporting such as 4 month sales expectancy, monthly sales reports, market estimates and budgets as required
Work closely with sales channels and end users to understand consumption expectations and implement Demand Pull where applicable
Communicating regularly via the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to insure production has item specific insight of forecasted demand
Ability to travel extensively, up to 70%, for purposes of customer visits and product testing/validation, training, lead generation, shows, conferences, factory interaction, etc.
Insure local development and testing of product are done efficiently and documented thoroughly
Maintaining courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all times

Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred or equivalent education/experience may be considered in lieu of degree
10 years' experience in the drilling marketplace, with a background in direct sales, distributor management, product management or store management is preferred
5 years' experience with Top Hammer products preferably in underground mining applications is preferred
Solid technical knowledge of the TH & HH product range and applications in the various served markets.
Advanced verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Proficient level skills in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
