Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager (This person will eventually move into the decision maker role down the line!!)

(1 year + with potential option to converting to an FTE)

Yes/must pass client based background check upon offer…MUST obtain a Public Trust clearance in order to start/walk on-site….process can take 3-4 weeks.

Special notes:
MUST have an active PMP (Professional Project Management) certification
MUST have an active CCNP-(Certified Cisco Network Professional) certification and/or an active CCIE (written only)
MUST hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree!

Description:
This candidate needs to be Deputy level, Know the technical aspects, Financial aspects, Procedures, Documentation, work with Engineers, oversee 20 Engineers, High customer interaction, Huge Network Experience, Enterprise level, Heavy infrastructure background. Technical Manager who will support several projects a large federal agency. Authority to make executive decisions for projects and resources. The qualified candidate should also have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Duties:
Leading all levels of engineers in organizing, supporting and completing projects.
Provide technical directions in multiple areas of tasks associated with the contract from research through implementation and maintenance.
Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of assigned personnel and must review work of engineers in order to oversee and recognize deficiencies and implement effective solutions.
Serves as the Contractor’s technical point-of-contact for program operations and must keep the Program Manager and Project Manager informed of the current status of projects and engineering efforts.
Serves as the liaison between the engineers and the Program Manager
Works directly with SSA managers in charge of the components requesting support services.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of SSA’s network, applications, standards, and practices.
Provide support for business development, proposal development, proposal reviews, personnel selections, and technical consultations with various customers within Health Solutions, write white-paper on specific subjects within areas of technical expertise.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled at either a Level 1 or a Level 2

Basic Qualifications for a Technical Manager 1: (Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.)

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relative experience, Master's degree and 1 years of relative experience, or 7 years of relative experience in an IT field in lieu of a degree.
A certification in PMI PMP and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalence level of certification
Have at least ten (10) years-experience of hands on network experiences

Basic Qualifications for a Technical Manager 2: (Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. )

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relative experience, Master's degree and 1 years of relative experience, or 7 years of relative experience in an IT field in lieu of a degree.
A certification in PMI PMP and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalence level of certification
Have at least 10 years of experience of hands on network experiences

Preferred Qualifications:
(Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.)

At least 3 years of experience with the network
Hand on experience working with large enterprise networks (>10K users, >1000 network endpoints)
Demonstrated experience working on Business Development Tasks
Must possess proven ability to lead and work efficiently with technical employees.
Must have extensive knowledge and familiarity with organization and culture.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Team or project lead experience is a plus.
Demonstrated excellent customer engagement skills
Demonstrated ability to grow and learn new skills
Self-starter who can take the lead on assigned tasks
