The Commercial Print group is now hiring for a Group Vice President overseeing approximately 8 plants nationwide.

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience working in a commercial print manufacturing environment across multiple plants. Extensive travel up to 50% is required.

The GVP will work with leadership and local facility presidents that handle print, marketing and document solutions for various customers. A significant portion of the business produced at these plants includes print and marketing for Health Insurance companies or Health care providers.

Position Summary
Provide executive leadership, support and guidance to assigned locations towards the development of plans and strategies for continually improving productivity, quality, customer relationships, sales/new business efforts, safety and financial success. Provide leadership through continual employee development, equipment utilization and facilities/systems improvement in all functions. Monitor progress and create action plans as necessary in order to achieve strategic plans, budgets and locations financial success. GVP’s have complete responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the assigned locations. Timely feedback and guidance for both subordinates and to fellow executives on all issues and opportunities is imperative.

Responsibilities

Driving Results & Accountability: oversee performance of assigned facilities and provide Plant Leadership with the proper guidance and support to meet objectives and achieve desired results by:

Serving as a critical thinker who works to support the platform and their plant leadership to achieve goals while overcoming obstacles and/or planning for contingencies;
Reviewing performance and progress on a regular basis to ensure the team is held accountable and achieving results;
Ensure goals are sufficiently challenging and obtainable while implementing corrective actions; and,
Seeking progressive with practical/“common sense” approach to business.
Assist in client opportunities and/or issues as needed.
Maintain awareness of competitors, satisfaction of customers and market opportunities.
Review and approve/sponsor capital needs for a specific facility and/or for a platform initiative.
Strategic thinking: A highly intelligent executive with a superior strategic and analytical skillset who will help lead the platform by translating broad strategies into clear, specific objectives and operational plans.

Collaborating and influencing: Someone with the interpersonal and leadership skills to work closely with the executive team, distributed operating units and support teams.

Negotiates with a genuine give-and-take approach, where both act as true peers and decisions are shared.
Spends time identifying stakeholders necessary to shape a collective consensus.
Maintains ongoing highly communicative positive relationships with support department managers, including managing employee concerns through collaboration with HR.
Identifies opportunities to build relationships that will help others achieve their objectives and reaches out to those people.
Understand and support the corporate and platform goals and objectives
Help manage and support change as it relates to both corporate and plant initiatives (i.e. technology/systems, HR, capital, etc.

Continually recruit, train and develop a first-class leadership team utilizing the requisite systems and processes to drive operating activities in line with the values and goals.
Reviews the current talent pool and determine if it possesses the right skills needed for the future organization; if not, act to address gaps.

Review and approve critical employment requests
Assist HR with employee issues and escalations
Possesses policy & process discipline with continuous improvement:

Supports and guides facilities and their plant leadership in the maximization of operating efficiency and productivity.
Ensures operations systems, procedures and policies are deployed effectively and are consistently applied at all operating locations.
Oversees and holds plant leadership accountable for leading and developing strategies for continuous improvement, space/equipment utilization and effective labor management.
Oversees and holds plant leadership accountable for establishing clear goals/objectives to enhance quality assurance, product safety, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Work with Corporate Leads to ensure company policy, training, and other miscellaneous requirements are met personally, and at each of their assigned facilities.

Financial acumen:
Full P&L oversight, analyzes, interprets and improves operational performance and cost management for the operating sites to ensure meeting of financial objectives.
Develops, monitors and reports monthly operations data to the rest of the senior management team by both trends and analysis of key data.
Hold regular financial/company performance reviews
Oversee budgeting process for assigned facilities
Maintains KPIs that ensure process, people and profit objectives are met.
Establish/Enhance, utilize and monitor performance reporting systems

Required Skills

Required Experience
4-year college degree required and preferred 10+ years of print operations experience in a manufacturing facility
At least eight (8) years of demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff, groups and major projects or initiatives
Unquestionable personal and professional character and integrity.
Unquestionable work ethic and drive for the company’s success.
Excellent verbal, analytical and organizational, writing and presentation skills with ability to multi-task.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
Deep understanding of accounting, reporting and annual budgeting
Excel at operating in a fast paced, community environment
High sense of urgency
Extensive Travel (approximately 50%)
