The Application Engineer will support our Solution and System Sales force in the Pre-Sales phase to win new Lenze Automation Solutions and Systems. Project Implementation. Help to achieve our Lenze Americas Solution and System revenue target.

Responsibilities

  • Machine Assessment
  • Create Machine Specification
  • Sizing / Selecting
  • Develop Value Proposal
  • Present our Automation Solution and System
  • Provide Support to Sales in Solution quote creation
  • Provide technical advice to our Customers and Sales
  • Develop customer PLC and HMI software
  • Commissioning of Lenze Solutions and Systems
  • Automation project support via phone, remote desktop and onsite.
  • Internal and external Automation, Solution and System training.
  • Provide sales support to field sales, this includes regional training as well as sales support calls
  • Project management
  • Travel as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree required in Electrical, Mechatronics or Robotics
  • 8+ Years in the area mentioned above.
  • IEC 61131-3 (Ladder, Structure text, Function block diagram)
  • HMI programming
  • Fieldbus (Ethercat, CAN, Ethernet-IP, RS232/485)
  • Mechatronic (Mechanic/Electric/Software)
  • Machine commissioning
  • Machine assessment
  • Creating Application / Machine specification
  • Familiar with wiring diagrams and troubleshooting customer wiring
  • Project management
  • Visual basic (would be helpful)
  • Software, installation and setup support on windows systems(would be helpful)
  • Machine Safety (would be helpful)
