Job Description
You must have a strong acumen for automation, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems. You will be working in a highly scalable, fast-paced environment to help us scale our organization and our infrastructure in support of a rapidly growing business. This position will be part of the Engineering team, focused specifically on developing our new cloud management platform.

The Engineering team is responsible for managing and automating datacenter infrastructure, including server provisioning, operating systems, configuration management, monitoring, directory services, and virtualization. This is a unique opportunity to deliver significant value and drive technical direction for our new cloud management platform, and you will be to a core part of our cloud management platform development.

In this role, the individual will be also working very closely with cross-functional teams within Engineering to ensure reliability, scalability and performance of the next-generation of platform. As a member of the engineering team, they will be a core driver of operational excellence, innovation, and automation throughout the development cycle. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement our new cloud management platform to ensure high service availability and stability. Your passion to identify and drive continuous improvements to increase stability, performance, functionality or cost-efficiencies is key for this role.

This is a full-time position based in our Seattle, WA office. Micfo is unable to provide employment sponsorship (I.E. H1B1) at this time.

What We'll Expect

Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a multi-tenant and multi-site OpenStack and Kubernetes based Cloud Management Platform (CMP)
Help to diagnose and debug issues on our production customer environments
Develop simple, consistent interface to deploy OpenStack and Kubernetes clusters on our internal data centers
Create automate solutions for complex and repetitive problems in our cloud-based infrastructure systems
Evaluate and execute new components for cloud technologies and facilitate transition from pilot to production environments
Automate routine tasks and provide documentation for tools and processes used to maintain the infrastructure services
Define and evangelize cloud-related optimizations and best practices to improve reliability and performance
Work cross-functionally amongst a variety of teams and be a core contributor in every significant engineering solution that we deliver to our customers

What You'll Bring

Proficient in one or more major languages such as Python, Java, Go, etc. and writing manageable, testable codes
A passion for cloud technologies and automation for replacing manual processes with a customer-driven mindset
Knowledge of OpenStack, KVM, VMware or Docker is highly desirable
Experience with build automation and continuous integration (CI) tools
Experience with cloud computing infrastructure and automation such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure, etc.
Hands-on experience with Linux server administration and managing physical servers
Experience with alerting systems, monitoring tools and performance metric-gathering tools
Experience with SQL, NoSQL, or other databases
