Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Executive Assistant in the Mayor and Town Council's Office.
The Executive Assistant reports to the Intergovernmental Relations Director. Top candidates for this position will possess outstanding communication skills, knowledge and use of MS Office and other records management systems. He/she will be skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and changing priorities. He/she will be able to remain positive and productive when faced with tight deadlines and the pressure of a heavy workload. The Executive Assistant will be expected to perform a variety of administrative support tasks requiring initiative, independent judgment and an extensive working knowledge of the organization and its administration. The work entails exercising a high degree of discretion and tact in all communications.
The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for people seeking the Mayor's and/or Town Council's attention, and will be responsible for representing the Mayor and Council in the best possible light through properly composed written communication, professional telephone interactions, and in-person business exchanges. The incumbent selected will support the Mayor and Council members by providing daily administrative and communication activities such as screening mail, answering telephone calls, setting up meeting requests, and referring in-coming requests to the appropriate Town department or staff.

You actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals and produce quality outcomes. High School Diploma or GED. Associate's Degree is preferred
8+ years of administrative support experience
Ability to build positive working relationships with all levels in the organization; handle confidential and sensitive information while using good judgment; effectively communicate through verbal and written means; and handle multiple priorities at once with attention to detail.
A sound knowledge of common and uncommon administrative support techniques, concepts, methods, practices, use of forms, routines, etc., of a complex nature.
Proficient knowledge of MS Office.
Valid Arizona Driver License.
